Wow Wee Zow Wee!!! It's been forever since I even logged onto this thing. I'm really motivated lately to keep up with this;  really not for anybody else but myself. I've been really bad about keeping a baby book for the newest addition Claire Cecelia so I should probably just make that a post in it's self :) So this entry really is just a precursor the the precursor post, ha ha. So here are some things I'll be posting about soon so if anyone reads this stay tuned....

Claire Birth story..
Weight loss since Claire....
Latest Happenings around the house....
Maybe a few posts about gadgets and gizmos, recipes, etc that I find have a worth while reason to be on here....

Sniffle, sniffle!!

Why is that when one person in the house comes down with something it seems not matter how hard you try you always end up with the same sickness. It' s offical, Luca is sick and on antibotics. I've been out of town for three days and spent the last few nights sleeping sitting up so I can breathe. Too bad life goes on and when you're a mother there just is no time to be sick. One to a more exciting note. I did get great news yesterday when I got back to the office, in the way of my step increase to my salary. I feel so fortunate that when so many around me are struggling to keep their jobs or find jobs I am lucky enough to love what I do and make enough money to keep our little family afloat while Luca gets his feet on the ground being self-employed. I really am so proud of him and he's done so much in so little time it's truly amazing! So I could sniffle about being sick or I could be sniffling for other reasons. I'll take the first.

It Snowed!

Oh okay only about 2-3 inches but hey it's a start and I'm not complaining. It's actually warmed up to bearable temperatures here. We froze our butts off at the tree lighting in Leavenworth; however enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Visconti's Restaurant. Would suggest this place to anyone it was fabulous food. I ordered the Veal Milanese with Lemon Pepper mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. This dish was incredible however the mashed potatoes were a bit over the top for my taste. Just too much lemon in one sitting. Luca had the most to die for dish and I mean to die for it looked like a heart attack on a plate but it tasted unbelievable. Waylon stayed with the old stand by tried and true "pepzironi" pizza which had a fabulous sauce and crust (crusty and thin just like I like em'). Following our trip to Leavenworth we finally got off our hind ends and hunted down our Christmas Tree. I'll post some pictures of all the adventures soon. Stay warm.

Good tidings to you...

I always love this time of year when the snow is falling outside and the air just seems to be a bit fresher. Oh, wait a minute it's 10 degrees outside with no hope of snow reaching the okanogan valley any time soon. I hate deep freezes...I really hate them! This is about the time of year when I really wished I lived somewhere mild and sunny, not Florida or anything heinous like that but somewhere the sun hits my face and the breeze feels like a nice fall day. When you just want to spend all day outside and keep thinking of reasons you must be outside. Oh well I guess I'm stuck in the deep ice pit I call home (sigh). Speaking of this time of year...Christmas time, yeah! We are taking a trip this weekend to Leavenworth and meeting my folks for dinner; at Cafe' Monet (blog to follow, to OH and awe over their wonderful food) and festivities for my dad's birthday. I'm sure we'll do the usual pictures with Santa, tree lighting etc. Actually this town is supposed to be pretty spectacular all lit up for the holidays so we should not be without things to do and see. We'll see how the Santa visit goes this year however. Last year was a complete disaster. We tried this picture taking twice, sidebar (why it's so important for us as parents to get these Santa pictures taken of our children; to insure the cruelty we endured as children?) Anyhow the picture was taken and it was Santa, Waylon and myself between him and the jolly man. The only way he would take the picture. I guess I should be proud he knows stranger danger, I mean these Santa's can look a little sketchy at times. Well, hope everyone's enjoying this wonderful time of year and maybe you've gotten a bit further than I have on decorating. We're getting the tree this weekend I swear!

Sure....I was going to post more often

I think I'm just not meant for this blogging business. I really have had a lot going on lately. The county was thinking of closing the Extension Office here recently and we were on pins and needles awaiting the decision. So far we have been spared for the current year. I was under that cloud looming above to tell Luca I might lose my job and then with great relief thanks to such a supportive community we made it out with most everything intact. I little weathered for wear I'd say, but we made it. Thought I might be polishing up that old resume....whew! Well we had thanksgiving here at our house again this year with my family and I cooked one fabulous bird if I do say so myself. Well other people did like it too! Thank god! Waylon is beginning this independent stage and learning more and more about cause and effect. Which is pretty comical to watch from an observers point of view. He certainly can blow us away with the things he remembers, I told Luca perhaps he needs to take lessons from his son. Well I'll try a little harder to keep on top of this blog thing. I plan on sending this address out to all our relatives who have Internet during the holidays and adding pictures with the blog once in awhile. Holiday cards and blogs to come.

Wowzzer

Well it's been quite a while since our last post. Been on Facebook lately and keepin up that way. But always follow other blogs possibly for the one reason my life doesn't seen as interesting as I've found these other blogs to be. Cooking, partying, etc. However I do need to keep updating this for the sheer reason I need a place to capture all of Waylon's new and exciting growings. Lately he's really polite in the fact of manners, please, thank you has been for awhile using his manners however as of lately it's turned on us. He spent the weekend with my parents while Luca and I took a short trip to Cle Elum for a wedding, which was in a beautiful barn. We had fun just hangin around and trying to sleep in which for me doesn't happen anymore but Luca for some reason has no problem slumbering until 10 or so. Any way Waylon started this thing where my mom would say Waylon are you ready to go nite nite?... where he proceeded with uh no thank you grammie. Perfect manners however what do you say to that? So just this past Monday we're at the Dr.s office and he's tooling around and wont sit still; so I tell him Waylon you need to come sit by me in the chair here...uh no thank you Mommy...uh what this is; that's not how this is supposed to go. The lady sitting directly across from us just thought it was hilarious and told me well at least he's using his manners. Yeah she's right but now what do I do with the unmanners? Although he always seems to melt my heart minutes later with things like while we're in the exam room he starts singing his ABC's which is the cuteist version I've ever heard. With the l mnop q r sss t etc. The ending is the best part with the nex time won't u sing.. me. Love you my sweet boy.
